DjVu is a convenient and very compact format for
distributing technical publications on the Web.
The simplest and most efficient way to convert your
publications to DjVu (whatever format they are in) is
to use one of the free conversion servers:
Any 2 DjVu conversion server: A free conversion server
that allows you to upload a document in just about any non-proprietary format
and have it converted to DjVu and OCRed while-u-wait.
Bib 2 Web conversion server: upload a BibTeX
file and the corresponding publications in any format, and our server will convert
them to highly compact .ps.gz and .djvu files as well as generate a nice-looking
publication index page in HTML with full-text search.
Alternatively, you can use one of the conversion software available
for download.
On Unix: download the
DjVuLibre package
which contains the viewer, decoders, simple encoders,
and many utilities (with source code).
On Windows: download DjVuSolo
from LizardTech, which allows you to scane documents and convert them to DjVu.
It is free for non-commercial use. The Commercial version adds OCR capability.
